2011 Police Unity Tour

MEA is proud to support the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund in honor of police officers who have died in the line of duty. US Congress established this memorial fund in 1984 in an effort to never forget the sacrifices officers make everyday protecting and serving our communities.

This year we have sponsored Sergeant David LeBaw in the 2011 Police Unity Tour, which is a 300 plus mile bike ride from May 9 to May 11. This donation will help him reach his $1,650.00 goal and the proceeds will also benefit the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum.

Please help support the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund by sending your donation to http://www.firstgiving.com/davidlabaw or by mailing your donation to Ewing P.B.A. Local 111, P.O. Box 7306, Ewing, NJ 08628.

The fact that Matossian Eye Associates’ staff works so well together is no accident. We put a lot of effort into teambuilding at MEA, including activities outside the office designed to build rapport among staff and doctors. We have planned our Spring Teambuilding Event at the Philadelphia International Flower March 12, 2011. Later this month, March 19, 2011, we are scheduled to go to the Vision Expo in New York City. These are great times for staff to bring family members and get to know each other in a relaxed and fun setting. We have numerous other activities throughout the year, including potluck lunches and wine and cheese sessions when we’re not on the clock. That’s why you see such a professional team when you visit MEA!

Baush + Lomb Voluntarily Recalls Soothe Xtra Protection (XP) Eye Drops.

Specific lots (Expiration dates: February 2011 through August 2012) were tested and showed that the preservative lost its effectiveness before the expiration date. There have been no reports of adverse side effects for Soothe Xtra Protection (XP); the company has decided to voluntarily recall ALL lots in the interest of patient safety. Not only have Bausch + Lomb contacted eye care professionals as well as the FDA to alert them of the recall, but it is also conducting an ongoing investigation to determine why these specific lots were out of shelf-life specification.

For those of you who may have Soothe Xtra Protection (XP) eye drops, do not use them and return the product to Bausch + Lomb. For recalled product details, visit www.bausch.com.
