Eyelid Surgery

Matossian Eye Associates (MEA) provides eyelid surgery for various eyelid disorders including droopy eyelids (blepharoptosis), suspicious or abnormal lesions of the eyelids, turning out of the eyelid (ectropion), turning in of the eyelid (entropion), and trichiasis (misdirected eye lashes). Eyelid skin is very thin and can easily stretch with the effects of gravity and the natural aging process. Blepharoplasty, one of the surgical eyelid procedures offered at MEA, can help repair some of these effects. It involves removing excess skin, fat and muscle to improve the appearance of droopy eyelids. We also offer cosmetic Botox® injections for the temporary improvement of moderate to severe wrinkles (rhytids) of the skin around the eye.
