Optomap Panoramic 200
Optomap Panoramic 200 Retinal Imaging System is the latest technology to offer immediate and painless digital views of the retina (the interior back of the eye).
During a Comprehensive exam, eyes are routinely dilated to examine the back of the eye (retina). Without dilation, Optomap provides for a more complete view of the area than was previously possible. It also creates a digital record of the structures of the retina for your permanent medical record.
Prior to Optomap, the only way to examine the back of the eye was with dilation. For some people dilation is an inconvenience due to blurriness and light sensitivity after their exam has been completed. With Optomap, this discomfort can be avoided and the patient can return to school or work without experiencing blurred vision for the rest of the day.
Our Doctors at MEA Recommend Optomap Because:
Early signs of eye disease are more easily detected.
Vision loss is best avoided by detecting disease early.
Doctors can better monitor your eye health annually.
MEA is committed to offering the highest standard of care.
Who is a Candidate?Any patient can request the Optomap. It is an excellent method for examining the retina in kids of all ages. However, if you have a condition requiring a more thorough examination, dilation would be required.
