The team of eye doctors at Matossian Eye Associates exhibited two artists for Summer 2018 through our Local Artist Program. Patricia Goodrich’s works were presented in our Doylestown, PA, office while Judith Sutton’s works decorated the walls in our Hopewell, NJ office.
Through this program, local artists like Patricia and Judith sign up to display their artwork in the reception areas of Matossian Eye Associates for a three-month period. This offers visual interest for patients who are visiting the practice for their eye exams and other procedures, and it offers exposure for local artists.
As part of the Local Artist Program, a People’s Choice Award selection takes place to engage patients with the artwork. Ballots are placed in the reception areas, and patients are asked to vote for their favorite piece.
After counting the votes, patients declared “Laundry Basket” to be the favorite of Judith Sutton’s artwork, and an untitled piece from Patricia’s “A Matter Of Perspective” show was the winning choice. It has been our pleasure to showcase the work of these two talented artists. For more information on each, see the summaries and links below.
Judith Sutton’s Artist Statement featured on her website:
“I paint still lifes, and more recently, interiors, because I love old things and old places. Things I know the feel and smell of, things that have come down to me from generations past, or things and places I have just met, with always the hint of a story.
“And if a strong light happens to fall on them, so much the better.”
Judith’s Laundry Basket will be in a show in:
Stovers Mill Gallery
October 13th and 14th, 20th and 21st, 2018
